Pour accueillir ce nouvel appareil, les bâtiments des gares G1 et G2 ont été repensés et le parcours visiteur a été amélioré.</p>
<p align="justify">La gare G1 est située au coeur de la station. Son architecture, sobre, répond aux contraintes d’exploitation et de gestion des utilisateurs (flux de départ important).<br />
La gare G2 s’intègre quant à elle le plus possible afin de disparaitre dans le paysage, pour cela la ligne de crête a été conservée. Une attention particulière a été portée sur la gestion des vents importants et sur une utilisation hiver / été. Au sein de la gare G2, un garage semi-enterré pour les télécabines a été créé. A l’opposé, des locaux du personnel ainsi que des locaux techniques dont un atelier de maintenance prennent places. Ces locaux sont principalement chauffé par récupération de chaleur des moteurs de la télécabine.</p>

<p align="justify">Au fur et à mesure des années, le centre technique et son activité ont connu une forte évolution impliquant plusieurs modifications structurelles et spatiales de leurs locaux. Le projet consiste en la réorganisation et la réhabilitation des espaces intérieurs du centre technique en prenant en compte la sécurité et le confort au travail qu’il est nécessaire de rétablir dans l’ensemble des espaces.</p>
<p align="justify">Les flux humains existants au sein du bâtiment ont été fluidifiés et les espaces d’activités seront augmentés et valorisés, tant en termes d’espace que de confort au quotidien. Une mutualisation des espaces en fonction des pôles permettra de redessiner des parcours évitant que les utilisateurs, aux activités et aux emplois du temps très différents, ne se gênent et permettra d’offrir des espaces suffisamment dimensionnés à la pratique de chaque corps de métiers ainsi que des espaces mutualisés.</p>

<p align="justify">Si la plupart des personnes qui fréquentent le refuge sont des randonneurs du TMB qui viennent des Contamines, on peut y accéder depuis d’autres départs : citons les Chapieux d’où partent les gardiens pour se ravitailler, le plan de la Lai situé au-dessus du mythique Cormet de Roselend et qui attirent les randonneurs à la journée, la Gittaz qui offre un magnifique sentier taillé dans la roche au-dessus des eaux bouillonantes du torrent, ou enfin, depuis la Ville des Glaciers via le col des Fours, un des plus hauts cols du TMB.</p>
<p align="justify">Passée l’augmentation de la surface, notre organisation du refuge est basée sur les contraintes de lumière, de clarification des flux, de séparation des espaces gardien et public, et sur les co ntraintes sécurité des espaces gardien.</p>

<div class='flex_cell av-3xqr7k-d4d4c0ea01ddab5bf755b0fb6d471350 av-gridrow-cell av_two_third no_margin  avia-builder-el-18  el_after_av_cell_one_third  avia-builder-el-last  content-align-top'  ><div class='flex_cell_inner'><section  class='av_textblock_section av-2o5t4w-2c23f7d6889116f063671129f504bdcd '   itemscope="itemscope" itemtype="https://schema.org/CreativeWork" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop="text" ><p align="justify">Dans un espace naturel protégé, le domaine nordique des Saisies a obtenu ses lettres de noblesse en accueillant en 1992, les épreuves de ski de fond et de biathlon des 16èmes Jeux Olympiques d’hiver d’Albertville.</p>
<p align="justify">Le domaine de ski nordique des Saisies est réputé pour être l’un des plus grands domaines de ski nordique en France. Le domaine est composé de 120 km de pistes ainsi qu’un stade de biathlon. Cet équipement, au-delà des cibles, comprenait notamment des zones pour les athlètes (vestiaires, infirmerie, anti doping), des espaces techniques dédiés aux chronos et à l’impression des résultats ainsi que des bureaux pour les jurys et les responsables météo, pistes ou protocolaires.</p>
<p align="justify">Le projet concerne l’évolution des installations du site. L’enjeu était de répondre aux nouvelles normes de l’International Biathlon Union, de revaloriser le patrimoine bâti en l’adaptant aux besoins actuels des équipes du domaine skiable (espaces de stockage) et du Club des Sports des Saisies (espace fartage, vestiaires et sanitaires) tout en améliorant l’impact environnemental.</p>
<p align="justify">Contrairement à l’usage initial du bâtiment, les espaces de stockage et les sanitaires ne nécessitant pas d’apport en lumière naturelle, nous avons remplacé la partie vitrée par une paroi opaque tout en conservant un bandeau lumineux haut, rythmé selon la façade initiale. L’espace dédiée au Club des Sports est identifiable par la présence d’une plus grande ouverture sur le paysage environnant.</p>

Le refuge de Turia perché sur une crète à 2400m d’altitude sur la commune de Villaroger ne fait pas exception.</p>
<p align="justify">Construit dans les années 1970, le refuge de Turia offre un panorama spectaculaire sur le massif du Mont Blanc, la chaîne frontalière avec l’Italie, et la grande Sassière entre autres. Il est composé d’une structure bois dite « Chaloin », figure emblématique du parc. Au-dessus de des 45m2 accessibles au public (salle commune et cuisine, SAS et dortoir) se trouve la sous-pente où dort la gardienne. A l’extérieur, beaucoup d’éléments ont été ajoutés pour pallier au manque de place intérieure.</p>
<p align="justify">Pour satisfaire aux nombreux besoins du refuge, une extension de l’existant permet de répondre à la croissance de la fréquentation, d’améliorer le confort du refuge tout en respectant l’empreinte existante et l’histoire du lieu. Le projet est placé côté Nord, laissant le refuge existant apparaitre seul aux yeux des randonneurs. Puis le projet se dévoile, composé d’un SAS d’entrée et de l’extension. Le refuge existant est dédié au dortoir, sousdivisé en box de 4 couchette et des espaces fermés pour les guides. Le refuge possède un système de wc humides et secs (pas d’eau en hiver), les gardiens possèdent de véritables espaces de vie et de travail, et une chambre pour les gardes du Parc et un local pour le berger ont été ajoutés au programme.</p>

Le site dispose déjà de diverses installations, notamment l’espace vertical qui sert à la fois de restaurant et de lieu de vente de souvenirs. C’est dans un esprit d’innovation et de découverte du principe de réalité virtuelle que la Compagnie du Mont-Blanc souhaite entreprendre cette réhabilitation.</p>
<p align="justify">Le bâtiment existant est un projet d’architecture livré en 2009 par l’agence Wilmotte &amp; Associés. Ce bâtiment en U, conçu de façon tramée, englobe le volume d’origine de la gare dédié essentiellement aux machineries, quais et bennes. Il est poreux et traversé par des flux de circulation divers. Il borde un vaste espace ouvert, La Place de l’aiguille du Midi, offrant une vue imprenable sur les sommets qui entourent Chamonix.</p>
<p align="justify">L’espace immersif s’implante dans et devant le volume Nord-Est, sous le porche de la gare basse du téléphérique de l’Aiguille du Midi. L’extension a été conçue dans le respect de l’œuvre architecturale réalisée initialement.</p>
<p align="justify">Le projet et l’extension semble ne faire qu’un. L&rsquo;extension est légèrement décollée des murs en parement de pierre par un joint creux, et couronnée d’une pièce métallique qui fait écho à la couvertine existante. Le recours à une ossature en bois et métal permet d’obtenir des murs fins. Le revêtement extérieur en mélèze est identique aux murs en clins de bois horizontaux existants sous le porche.</p>

<p align="justify">Le futur usage de l’ouvrage et son implantation dans un environnement naturel d’exception ont entièrement dicté sa forme, sa composition et son positionnement. Les activités auxquelles il est destiné ont guidé sa conception. Son développement est fonctionnel et rationnel.</p>
<p align="justify">Le projet prend place sur le versant Sud de l’Aiguille des Grands Montets, à une altitude basse de 3 225,87m d’altitude. Des roches granitiques forgent le caractère minéral et lunaire du site. La présence de zones enneigées et glacées à l’année, nous rappelle l’altitude à laquelle nous nous trouvons. L’escalier permet aux utilisateurs de relier les 38,4m de dénivelé entre le col des Grands Montets et la terrasse basse de la gare sommitale du téléphérique des Grands Montets. Il vient remplacer l&rsquo;escalier existant dont les stigmates rappellent les contraintes physiques auxquelles l’ouvrage va être confronté.</p>
<p align="justify">La composition générale se devait de rester extrêmement sobre, tant en termes de matériaux que de lignes pour fondre au mieux l’ouvrage à son environnement naturel. Le choix a été fait de positionner l’escalier projeté en amont de l’escalier existant pour des raisons géotechniques et d’exploitation, mais également pour suivre au plus près le relief tout en le survolant afin d&rsquo;éviter l’enneigement excessif de l’ouvrage.</p>
<p align="justify">Un travail sur la géométrie nous a permis de standardiser et de décomposer par modules les éléments constituants l’escalier. A cette altitude, les pièces sont transportées par hélicoptère et les conditions de déplacement sont particulièrement physiques. Rendre l’ouvrage modulaire apportait une réponse (dans une certaine mesure) à la simplification de la mise en oeuvre de l’escalier, mais procurait aussi un confort pour l’utilisateur le long du parcours de 93m par l’intégration d’un rythme régulier indispensable à cette altitude.</p>
